My undergraduate major is Textile Engineering & Design, which focuses on woven fabric's structures, properties, and patterns design for home textiles (both hand sketching and CAD), combined technology and art. During this time I took the courses such as Science Of Textile Material, Woven Structure Design, Knitting Technology, Textile Computer Aid Design etc. I developed my design skills and learned textile technology.

In 2016, I participated in a accelerated Master's program (3+X program) between my homeschool and North Carolina State University. I'm in the department of Textiles and Apparel, Technology and Management (TATM), where gives me opportunities to apply the knowledge to the practice. I did many projects including knitting product design with Shima-Seki Whole Garment knitting Machine, weaving fabric design with Staubli Electronic Jacquard Machine, fabric embellishment design (laser cutting and embroidery).
